Healesville Motor Inn is the first motel in the Yarra Valley and the Dandenong
Ranges to be officially accredited by the Better Business Tourism
Accreditation Program after meeting a range
of standards such as professional customer service, accuracy in advertising,
compliance with health and safety standards, and sound environmental practices.
The Better
Business Tourism Accreditation Program has established minimum industry
standards for operating a tourism business. The program requires businesses to
measure and improve their performance continuously with a focus on improving and
maintaining effective business planning and operating systems.
Although the primary aim of accreditation is to assist businesses to achieve
enhanced or ëbetter businessí practices, another important aim is to provide
customers with the confidence to expect professional service. The Tourism
Accreditation Board of Victoria Inc. is currently stepping up its
consumer-directed awareness program focusing on the benefits of using accredited
operators.
