Gulf
Station:
National Trust of Australia
(Victoria)
Gulf Station is the most complete timber slab
structure in Victoria. From the mid 1850s to the 1950s, Gulf Station was a
profitable and self-sufficient pastoral property. Today the National Trust
presents Gulf Station as a unique living museum featuring the original
farm buildings, domestic tools and artifacts and rare Scottish breeds of
farm animals. Gulf Station was bought by the State Government in 1976 and
is now managed by the National Trust of Australia (Victoria).
